I love the Virginia creeper. I tried to plant some a few years ago, envisioning it cascading over our side fence, but alas it didn't seem to like the soil here (or something) and never grew.

I think what you have in the picture is a pelargonium. The true geranium is the one called crane's bill. I think! Hmm. Now you've got me wondering! :0)
