Through the Nant y Garth Pass and over the Horsehoe Pass
From Ruthin we ran up the Vale of Clwyd and then into what was once a favourite pass of Dad’s - the Nant y Garth. The view to the left along the vale included Moel Fammau and some splendid individual Oaks. The Oak seems to be out before the Ash this year - in N Wales at least. “If the oak is out before the ash we’ll have a splash,” so the saying goes.
Then we went over the Horsehoe Pass, past the Berwyn Slate Quarry, and into Llangollen.
